TBWASMP makes key promotions, Joey Tiempo is named digital ECD

MAKATI – TBWA\SMP kickstarts the year by announcing six promotions within the creative team, one for accounts management, and two for digital.

Joey Tiempo steps up to head the agency’s digital arm as the executive creative director for digital. Tiempo has come a long way over the decade, having worked with J. Romero & Associates, Adformatix-Hakuhodo, Jimenez-Basic Advertising and Y&R Philippines. Her brands include Toyota, Jollibee, Sara Lee, Citibank, Del Monte and Energizer. She bagged the Philippines’ first Webby and her work has been recognized at Cannes, AdFest, Spikes Asia, One Show, AWARD Award, Clio and LIAA. 

Local design scene mainstay John Ed de Vera is set to head the design team as the newly appointed creative director. Also stepping up to a creative director post is the mind behind notable Oishi campaigns ‘Forevermore’ and ‘True Colors’, Chino Jayme.

Katrina Cosico, is now a business unit director. She has spent eight years in the agency and is currently handling its biggest account, Del Monte. She played a key role in launching personal care brands Hana and Systema and was part of the team that worked on the Hana Water Billboard and Caraphil in 2014.

Art Director CJ de Silva and copywriter Abi Capa both earn associate creative director posts. 

Additionally, Mark Baul is promoted to UX Manager while Gerard Cueto is promoted to digital producer.
