MANILA – From the Philippines, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno’s ‘Biggest Air Filter’ for Pacific Paint and ‘Koi Fish Feed’ for Ayala Land are included in the ACT Responsible exhibition in Cannes 2014.
Located in the Palais des Festival, the exhibition allows visitors to discover brand new and innovative ideas, which agencies have come up with during the year, to promote Good Causes and Responsibility.
During the week-long Festival, visitors to the exhibition are invited to vote online for their favorite campaigns. The exhibition runs from June 17 to 20 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. On June 20, David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes will present the ACT Responsible Cannes Tributes, recognising outstanding work for good causes.
Voting is now ongoing for the campaigns, which are divided into four categories: Planet, Education, Human Rights, and Solidarity.
‘Biggest Air Filter’ and ‘Koi Fish Feed’ are in the Planet category.
‘Biggest Air Filter’
With the participation of eight artists from around the world, ‘Biggest Air Filter’ makes use of Boysen’s smog-eating KNOxOUT paint to make giant murals along EDSA, the Philippines’ busiest thoroughfare. So far, the finished artworks have reduced pollution by 20 percent.
‘Koi Fish Feed’
Winning a Bronze Lion in 2013, this campaign allowing people to experience the promise of sustainable living through an invite to visit Nuvali’s man-made lake and feed the koi fish with the invite, which was designed with koi fish patterns and made from natural ingredients and edible ink.
TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno is among 88 agencies from more than 30 different countries showcasing the best of their responsible work for NGO, associations and corporations working to make the world a better place.
Created in 2001, the Swiss-based, non-profit organization ACT Responsible has been collecting the best ads promoting sustainability, equitable development and social responsibility in a bid to highlight how creativity is used to raise awareness on the world’s major issues.
Since April 2014, the campaigns entered in the ACT Responsible annual collections are put to an annual ranking “The Good Report” taking into account the Cannes tributes results as well as their performance in the Gunn Report.
