ABS-CBN introduces another first in the Philippines as it brings Japan’s hip technosport to the country with Hado Pilipinas, a blend of technology and sports in an exciting multiplayer game.
Hado Pilipinas is under ABS-CBN Themed Experiences Inc., a subsidiary of the country’s leading media and entertainment company that seeks to bring unique and groundbreaking experiences to Kapamilyas.
“This technosport combines physical and digital play in a game that various teams, groups of friends, even families can play and enjoy,” shared ABS-CBN Themed Experiences head Cookie Bartolome.
For this venture, ABS-CBN Themed Experiences, Inc. sealed a partnership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the ABS-CBN Sports & Action channel to introduce the technosport to Philippine colleges.
The Hado Pilipinas NCAA Collegiate Cup 2019 began staging roadshows and clinics last month and the tournament runs until October. The Winner gets to be a part of the official Philippine Team to go to Tokyo, Japan and compete in the Hado World Cup 2019 in December.
The journey of this new sport will be aired via “Hado Pilipinas,” hosted by Vince Velasco and Denice Dinsay, on ABS-CBN S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, and LIGA HD every Sunday, 11:30am starting August 25. The show will also stream and be available on demand on iWant.
Hado Player versus Player (or Hado PvP) is a sport developed in Japan that blends the gameplay of dodgeball, the scoring of tennis, and the adaptability of multi-player battle arena (MOBA), and the technology of Pokemon Go. Two teams launch energy balls to hit their opponents while avoiding getting hit; they must also utilize shields to block attacks.
Interested players can experience the new sport at the Hado Pilipinas Camp, slated for opening at the last quarter of the year inside the ABS-CBN Compound.
