MANILA – The biggest gathering of book stores and publishers, the 37th Manila International Book Fair, has opened again today at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.
The fair houses big bookstores including Fully Booked and National Bookstore, to local publishers like Anvil Publishing, Adarna House, UP, UST, ADMU and FEU press, and indie publishers.
Prices of books, magazines, comic books, textbooks and other reference materials are marked down, with almost all books on sale for a minimum of 20% off and some at 3 for P100.00.
Apart from book shopping, visitors can also catch book signing events happening in different booths and educational talks at the fair’s main stage.
As with all book sale events, expect crowded halls and long lines to the cashier especially during this weekend. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the convention center so be sure your stomach is full before heading to SMX.
The admission fee is P15.00 for students, faculty and senior citizen, and P20.00 for the general public. MIBF 2016 will run from September 14 to September 18 from 10 AM to 8 PM.
