Henri Lamy, a palette knife painter and capoeira artist, exhibits and conducts workshops at Museo Pambata.

MANILA – An admirer of Jackson Pollock, French artist Henri Lamy paints using a palette knife on acrylic paint, the movement suggested by his work pointing to a mind that is rarely still, often in motion. Enhanced by lively colors, expressive compositions, the seemingly abstract at close range actually becomes more figurative when viewed at the correct vantage point. Lamy’s latest concept involves capoeira and live-painting, where his inspiration flows directly from his movements.

Exhibiting his works in Lyon, Aix en Provence, Paris, Nanjing, Beijing, Manila, Tokyo , Hong Kong, Geneva, Beirut and Bangkok, Lamy will be opening an exhibit on February 6, 2016 at Museo Pambata. He will also be conducting a painting workshop for children at the same venue on February 13, 2016.
