MANILA – Filipino runners will get a taste of a brand new running experience this month, with The Music Run, which will hit the road in China for the first time on November 14 in partnership with Philam Life.

It’s essentially a fun run with a musical twist, dividing the track into five music zones–rock, pop, old school, hip-hop, and dance. Concert-quality speakers will line the entire course, aptly named “Sound Track.”

Spotify will be the Official Digital Music Partner of The Music Run Manila and has personalized the fun run by letting the participants vote for the songs they would like to hear. The more a song is voted for and shared, the more likely it is to make the top 5 playlists for each Music Zone.

“The concept of The Music Run is a natural fit with Spotify – Music is a big part of the running experience and we are very excited to have The Music Run leverage Spotify’s wealth of music data, content and an understanding of listening habits to create playlists for their upcoming run in the Philippines, our fastest-growing market in Asia,” says Sunita Kaur, managing director

The Music Run has already toured Asia and entertained over 50,000 participants called Music Runners from Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Yangon. This was launched just last year by Fresh Events Global, usually partnering with banking institutions like AIA.

The Music Run is expected to draw 10,000 runners in its debut.  Registration is ongoing until tickets are sold out via the Ticket World website or at Ticket World outlets. A limited number of early registrants also get a special 20% discount.
