Entering its second decade, NU 107.5 rocks on! NU is the only FM radio station to hold an annual awards event. Since the 90’s, NU encouraged—even required—fan participation in choosing the winners of the annual awards. The first NU Rock Awards was held in 1994.
Dubbed “Rock for Real”, this year’s awards proved electrifying, pumped up by alternative music artists’ performances, hosted by its DJs in their best rock costumes, and graced by former winners and Hall of Fame awardees. A number of Pinoy rock celebrities and legends, plus a few wanna-bes, partied the night away at the World Trade Center last November 30.
No longer a teenager, but showing no signs of age, NU could certainly still whip up a storm. And the awards, it’s rock for real!
