MANILA – Earlier this week, posts about Whammo’s returning to the market circulated around social media, mainly being shared by the suddenly nostalgic 90s babies.
As a 90s baby myself, I remember Whammo’s as one of my favorite school snacks, the so-called “twinkies” of the Philippines.
After years of being out of the market, the beloved chocolate cake with fudge filling is back. As reported by WheninManila.com and Our Awesome Planet, Whammo’s will be available at 7-Eleven stores starting Wednesday, May 25, retailing at P16.00 each.
Since we couldn’t wait to get our hands on this fudgey and chocolatey snack that brings back all our childhood memories, we dropped by a nearby 7-Eleven and bought all the six (six pcs. only can you imagine?) pieces of Whammo’s displayed on the counter first thing in the morning.
