MANILA – ZALORA, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination, treats Filipinos with 12.12 Online Fever, an online shopping event on December 12, 2015, kicking off the year’s most attractive offers across different e-commerce companies. Initiated in 2014, this year’s cyber event will see participation of over 250 partners and brands across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and for the first time – Taiwan.

A ZALORA-led initiative, 12.12 Online Fever is Southeast Asia’s biggest online shopping day. Together with partners such as Reebonz, Expedia and Luxola, it aims to drive the growth of the e-commerce industry across the region by providing its valued Filipino customers with the best online shopping experience in the market: free returns, cash on delivery, free shipping, and much more will be available on December 12.

In the Philippines, ZALORA—together with its premium partners MasterCard and 2GO Express, as well as major e-commerce partners such as Travelbook, Ticketworld, Luxola, KFit, and Carmatch—will resort to a collective effort to empower e-consumers by offering great savings options for 24 hours on 100% authentic local and international brands. Customers will be able to take advantage of these incentives within the comfort of their own homes. ZALORA customers can also expect great offers from global high street fashion brands such as Mango, Factorie, RayBan, and Oakley.

Tito Costa, Regional Managing Director of ZALORA Group, said, “We are happy to bring 12.12 Online Fever back for the second year running with so many like-minded partners. E-commerce in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan is definitely on the rise, with a good number of consumers already engaging on various online channels to make informed purchasing decisions. This online sales day will give them a little push, sparking consumer spending by offering their favourite items at the best prices. Last year’s record sales attested how such a cyber event resonates well with consumers in the region, and we are geared up to replicate the same success.”

During the ZALORA annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the media, held at Metro Manila’s best kept secret French restaurant Le Jardin, ZALORA Philippines Co-founder and Managing Director, Paulo Campos stated, “We see 12.12 Online Fever as a special treat that Filipinos shouldn’t miss. This is the one day of the year when customers can expect the best offers from both local and international brands that are available only in ZALORA.”

With the need for bigger and better infrastructure solutions due to the growth of e-commerce, ZALORA Philippines welcomed 2GO Express as 12.12 Online Fever’s official logistics partner. 2GO Express Inc. Vice President and General Manager Randolph R. Arroyo, said, “We greatly value our partnership with ZALORA Philippines. We believe that through this initiative, we can establish a meaningful relationship with our customers. Hand-in-hand, we can work together to find flexible solutions to provide the best pickup and delivery experience.”

E-commerce in Asia Pacific is set to continue its upward trajectory in the years to come, with mass organic growth potential in Southeast Asia. Coupled with the increasing connected device ownership and high-speed connectivity, rising consumer affluence will continue to accelerate the industry for e-commerce players. However, concerns over product and payment security remain a challenge in the sphere of online shopping. Through large-scale online sales days such as 12.12 Online Fever, ZALORA aims to boost online retail consumption expenditure, while providing reassurance on the e-commerce sector and building trust with customers.

Commencing on December 12, 2015 at 12am, 12.12 Online Fever will go live on all the eight ZALORA sites and the ZALORA mobile app. Find all the best offers at http://www.zalora.com.ph/online-fever/.
