ADAA 2019: The 10th adobo Design Awards Asia Returns with a Lineup of Powerhouse Judges

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Celebrating its 10th year, the adobo Design Awards Asia is delighted to unveil its lineup of jurors for 2019. Eight creatives from Southeast Asia have been selected to judge the creative works for this year’s entries, with Yang Yeo, Hakuhodo Inc. APAC’s Creative Kaiju, to lead as Jury President.

This year’s lineup of powerhouse judges is composed of leading creatives in the industry and hail from various cities across the globe: Rich Tu (Vice President of Design at MTV), Jayson Atienza (Artist and Creative Director), Nadya Kirillova (Creative Director of Dentsu Team B), Hidetoshi Kuranari (Creative Director of Dentsu Team B).

Homegrown jurors include AJ Dimarucot (Founder of Communication Design Association of the Philippines), John Ed De Vera (Creative Director for Design at TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno), Dan Matutina (Founder of Plus63 Design Philippines).

The jury members will be responsible for awarding the most wellthought-out designs and innovations across 26 categories. With more judges to be confirmed. the jury boasts of decades of experience in the creative industry. Jury President Yang Yeo was also the Jury President for Industry Craft at the 65th Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

The official adobo Design Awards Asia 2019 theme logo for “Think Design Think” is a design collaboration between J. Walter Thompson and Plus63 Design.

The 10th year of adobo Design Week 2019 and the adobo Design Awards Asia launches with the theme, THINK DESIGN THINK. Design is one of the most powerful forces in our lives and must always be in service to make lives better. Good design makes good business. The adobo Design Awards Asia show will be held at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City on May 10, 2019. Deadline for entries is April 5, 2019.
