PRESS RELEASE

adobo MAINCOURSE: The Art of Copywriting (and Handwriting) in the Digital Age by Leigh Reyes
adobo magazine, July 24, 2017 | 5:24pm

Excellent copywriting in the digital age sparks curiosity, triggers interaction, overcomes distraction, and holds attention.

adobo MAINCOURSE presents The Art of Copywriting (and Handwriting) in the Digital Age by Leigh Reyes, President & Chief Creative Officer of MullenLowe Philippines.

Citing theory and experience, the talk will cover how you can:

Write for discoverability.
Write with economy and intent.
Write with platform nuances in mind.
Write action, not description.
Write to delight.

The workshop will require you to write by hand, with problems and prompts, in sprints. Copywriting is not a team sport, so bring your own pen and paper. One-on-one reviews will help you assess your writing after each sprint. The sprints will include:

Restructuring a story to overcome distraction and distribute attention
Getting started in conversational UI
Rewriting headlines based on cognitive biases

At the end of the workshop, you should feel more confident in your copywriting skills and better-equipped to explore life as a copy ninja. Or a copy unicorn. Or a copy ninja riding a unicorn into a sunset reddened by the blood of your enemies.

Join us on on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 9:30AM to 3:00PM at the Green Sun, Forum 1 & 2.

To book a slot, e-mail events@adobomagazine.com or contact us at +639151140954. Fee for this event is P2,500 inclusive of snacks and lunch. Slots are limited as this is a hands-on workshop.
