To further encourage its members to practice safer contactless transactions, the association encourages its over 5,000 active members nationwide to open a PayMaya account. It also aims to distribute PayMaya physical cards to members by the end of September.

Promoting entrepreneurship

Most JCI Philippines members are business owners, and the association regularly conducts its Subject Matter Expert Townhall, where PayMaya has been a regular resource.

PayMaya officers have been a mainstay, sharing tips, insights, and various solutions that business owners can avail of as they plot out their business’ digital transformation during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

JCI Philippines President Jude Acidre said: “Today, equipping our association with the right digital payments platform has never been so critical because we are still facing this pandemic. PayMaya has truly helped JCI Philippines to efficiently collect funds for various projects—ranging from conferences, merchandise sale, and even charitable activities.”

“We appreciate PayMaya’s efforts to go beyond being a tech enabler. It has been extending support by sharing its expertise to empower our members with the knowledge and tips they need as they equip their businesses with digital payment solutions,” he added.

For his part, Mar Lazaro, PayMaya Managing Director and Head of Enterprise Business and Sales, said: “We at PayMaya are pleased to work alongside JCI Philippines in their digital journey. We salute the organization for providing their members with the knowledge of how digital payment platforms like PayMaya can help level up their businesses.”

PayMaya has accelerated its efforts to equip merchants, communities, and government agencies with digital payment solutions as more Filipinos prefer cashless and contactless transactions as part of its financial inclusion mission.
