MAKATI CITY – Eastern Communications, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, took home a Quill for their Our Strong Connection Campaign at the recently concluded 16th Philippine Quill Awards at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.
Their entry, Eastern Communications’ Our Strong Connection – The Internal Campaign of Eastern Communication’s Re-branding received an Award of Merit in the Communication Management Division under Internal Communication Category.
Organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Philippine Quill Awards recognize communication agencies and companies for achieving the highest Global Standard for business communication practices and setting the standards of excellence.
Eastern Communications relaunched their brand through the “Our Strong Connection” campaign last year. The campaign’s clarion call was to “bring back the human connection in the business of communications technology” and highlighted its unique brand of “high tech and high touch” service.
High tech and high touch is Eastern Communications’ two-pronged approach to their new brand – high tech refers to products and services offered that are at par with other telecommunication companies while high touch is all about personalized customer service for their clients and helping them achieve their business goals.
“The Our Strong Connection campaign recognizes the importance of human connections in our industry and the first step towards promoting this culture is forging strong and real connections among our employees. We’re very proud that the efforts for this campaign was acknowledged by the prestigious IABC Quill Awards,” shared Eastern Communications Marketing Services Head Jedrek Estanislao.
“Through this campaign, our employees have enthusiastically embraced and embodied the new brand, which has helped fuel innovation in terms of products, resulted in improved satisfaction from clients for our services and fueled business growth,” said Eastern Communications Marketing Division Head Catherine Muynila.
Eastern Communications inspired its officials and employees to champion the new brand through a holistic internal campaign. A branding exercise allowed Eastern Communications to refresh its mission, vision and values and branding collaterals were produced, showcasing new brand booklets, a redesign of the company logo and a website revamp.
The company then mounted an internal launch which included a teaser phase, an environmental revamp which includes a redesign of its office, and employee activities to engage and promote a culture of strong connections amongst employees.
With its refreshed brand, Eastern Communications looks forward to satisfying more businesses and households with new and innovative product lines and services, inviting them to discover the “strong connection” the company can provide.
