Till recently the Chief Operating Officer of Cheil Philippines, Jake Yrastorza has been appointed Managing Partner of indie ideas agency, GIGIL.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing communications, Yrastorza cut his teeth in JWT where, as Group Account Director, he handled Ford, Nestle, and Red Horse, grooming it to become the best-selling beer brand in the country.

Moving to Leo Burnett, he grew Marlboro to become among the agency’s most profitable accounts, deploying his skills in consumer, shopper, trade, and digital marketing.

In 2017, he was installed as Cheil COO, where he led brand-building work for its biggest client, Samsung.

“We are sad to say goodbye to our Partner Isabel Prollamante, who has rightfully chosen family, and has joined them abroad. She was instrumental in setting up the agency, and bringing it to the good place where we are today,” says founder Herbert Hernandez. “As we thank her, we welcome Jake, and look forward to the great ideas our partnership will spark,” founder Badong Abesamis adds.

GIGIL is the agency of 7-Eleven, Cobra Energy Drink, Levi’s, Cashalo, KonsultaMD, Novuhair, Sip Bottled Water, and LANDBANK. Barely a year old, its work has been recognized both locally and internationally.
