WHOAREMARO’s The Lifedrawing Setup happened last August 26 and it was a celebration of art in the human form. The event is a nude figure drawing event which hosts male and female models posing separately for an hour and a half.
Artists who attended the event were greeted by live electronic music, complimentary Bombay Sapphire cocktails, and some luckier attendees were able to win giveaways from some of the sponsors like ArtWhale and Faber-Castell.

Overall, the event was pretty chill and casual. You simply bring your art materials, your friends, and wear black because that’s the dress code and the event provides everything else the venue, the models, the music, the food and drinks, some free-for-use materials and even a small art market that hosts some local artists and their merchandise.
The Lifedrawing Setup is friendly to all sorts of artists whether they’re just starting out or have been practising it for a lifetime. It’d be a go-to event if you’re the type to want to dive into art or you’re just looking for an event of this sort. WHOAREMARO hosts these events every two months, there are no tentative dates for the upcoming ones but you could follow them on social media (https://www.facebook.com/whoaremaro) if you’re on the lookout for these casual weekend events.
