Havas China appoints Dennis Potgraven as Head of Strategy for its media arm

SHANGHAI – Havas Media Group, the media brand of Havas China, has promoted Dennis Potgraven to the newly created role of Head of Strategy for Greater China region.

 

Dennis moves into the new role after having spent two years with Havas Media Hong Kong as Head of Strategy. During his stint in Hong Kong, Dennis was credited with strengthening the quality of strategic output including the development of thought leadership around the agency’s proprietary strategy framework Meaningful Brands.

Prior to that, he was with Havas Media in Amsterdam as Strategy Director, where he worked with clients including Hyundai, Kia, Disney, KLM, Danone, Coty, LG, Reckitt Benckiser, and Peugeot. Before that, he worked 15 years at client’s side mainly in FMCG and retail at Nestlé, Friesland Campina, and Ahold.

 

In his new role, Potgraven will relocate to Shanghai where he will oversee the China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan strategy teams. He will be working closely with existing clients while supporting new business activities in the region.
