MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) has announced that the Digital Young Creatives (DYC) Competition is back to search for top talents under 31 to represent the Philippines in Cannes.

This year’s competition, presented by fast food chain McDonald’s, welcomes all creatives who are currently employed by creative/digital agencies, digital shops, digital platform companies, content creation companies, and such.

“Last year, we had 40 teams, and we hope to surpass that number this year,” said IMMAP DYC Sub-Committee Head Rudy Villar. “The prize for the winners is a trip to Cannes. I mean, who wouldn’t want that?”

Competing pairs will be given a task to create “digital-at-the-core” communications and business solution to a case in just 24 hours. After the first round, chosen finalists will compete for another brief to determine the winning team flying for the Cannes Young Lions competition next year.

This year’s competition will be tougher, according to Ollie Rabatan, an IMMAP DYC sub-committee member. “The judging panel is composed of industry leaders and award-winning creatives and marketers so we can expect some outstanding work to be showcased in this competition,” he said.

So far, the Philippines has won a bronze medal back in 2018 by Lance Frances and Zach Lim representing Wunderman Thompson.
