KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Moët Hennessy Diageo (MHD) Malaysia, a leader in the Luxury Wines & Spirits category, has amped up its marketing artillery in 2020 for its portfolio of brands by partnering with an army of seven agencies for its Moët Hennessy business.

M&C Saatchi remains the company’s Lead Creative Agency on record, a position it has held since 2015. Meanwhile, Group M’s L’Atelier will continue to provide media thought leadership, planning and execution.

GO Communications will take the lead in PR/communications related matters while Colony will take on brand activation. Other appointments include Amoeba, tasked with designing and conceptualizing of visual merchandise; Sambal Lab, who will bring to the table their brand of experiential activation and “dark marketing”; and social creative agency Black Sheep.

“We are truly thrilled to be working with some of the best agencies in the country, all with a strong, clear and demonstrated track record with sound industry knowledge and expertise in marketing and brand management,” said Aurelie Lim, Marketing Director at Moët Hennessy Malaysia.

“This is a key priority for the newly forged brand and marketing team at MHD Malaysia, even as we power into a new decade to maintain the market leadership for many of the brands in our portfolio such as Hennessy and Moët & Chandon while increasing market share for other brands in the ever-growing and competitive Luxury Wines & Spirits category.”

“These appointments also demonstrate a prime example of how agencies can truly work together to bring about the best possible results for their clients, where the sum is very much greater than its parts,” she added.

Already this year, the agencies have hit the ground running with several campaigns and initiatives which include Hennessy’s “Renewal of Hope” Chinese New Year campaign and Moët & Chandon’s Valentine’s Day initiatives.

Other key marketing highlights for 2020 include innovative brand strategies, new product launches, and ground breaking experiential events.

MHD Malaysia is a joint venture between luxury group LVMH, represented in the Wines & Spirits business by Moët Hennessy; and Diageo. Established in 1970, the MHD Malaysia office markets and distributes an unrivalled portfolio of quality and luxury wines and spirits from both Moët Hennessy and Diageo.

Some of the brands under Moët Hennessy include Hennessy (Cognac); Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Veuve Clicquot (Champagnes); Cloudy Bay, Terrazas and Ao Yun (Wines); as well as Glenmorangie (Single Malt) and Belvedere (Spirit).
