SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Global independent creative agency AnalogFolk has announced a number of new hires (and a promotion) in its Sydney office across strategy, creative and account management following solid growth from existing clients and soon-to-be-announced new business wins.

Since March, four new staff have joined. On the creative front, Willy Mason, formerly of Clemenger BBDO Sydney, joins as senior art director. Willy was a Cannes Young Lion this year, named by Australian title B&T in its top 30 Under 30 list and was Clemenger Employee of the Year in 2018. In the design department, Chloe Lai joins as graphic design intern.

Zoe McMurdo joins as senior account director via Social Soup, along with Emily Leary, senior editor formerly from agency Edge. Both have a background and strong expertise in social and influencer marketing.

AnalogFolk partner and managing director Matt Robinson said: “It’s certainly not news to anyone that there have been some massive societal shifts in 2020, and that has flowed through to our clients’ businesses as well. Our clients have had to adapt quickly and we’ve been fortunate to see increased demand for digital experiences, social and branded content, as well as innovation – all delivered at rapid pace. It has given us the opportunity to make some fantastic new hires, and there’s some brilliant work in the pipeline.”

Existing client growth comes from Pernod Ricard Australia, TAL, Curtin University, Hyundai and Chemist2U which AnalogFolk helped launch at the end of 2019. The agency will be announcing new business wins shortly.

Other recent hires include Alistair McCann, senior copywriter – via RAPP; Jemma Parkin, who joined as an intern last year before being promoted to community manager; and Holly Paykel as editor, formerly from social agency Present Company.

In addition, Chris Loukakis has been promoted to strategy director.
