Singapore – Ariel Chen returns to join BBDO Shanghai as Group Creative Director to work on the Mars account as support to Arthur Tsang. She has been working in the industry for 20 years as an advertising creative and has experience in renowned agencies such as BBDO, Ogilvy and Magotan and has been based in Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. After a five-year period working for a number of agencies since leaving BBDO including McCann Shanghai, Leo Burnett Singapore, and most recently O&M Shanghai, Ariel now returns to BBDO joining the Greater China creative powerhouse along with Wai Foong Leong, Arthur Tsang and Aricio Fortes to name a few.
A copywriter from Taiwan, with having lived internationally, Ariel Chen is influenced by culture and is passionate about celebrating diversity through her content creation.
Throughout her career, Ariel has lead popular marketing campaigns, including 3M’s “Water with Love”, “Pizza Air” for Pizza Hut, “Clearly this is me” for Vivo V7 selfie phone, White essence “TFBoys whitening school” for the Chando whitening series and “Black & White Run” for Black and White cold medicine.
Ariel has also been recognized for her work in the industry and has won local and international awards such as, The London International Advertising Award, Asia-Pacific Advertising Award, Times Advertising Award and Effie Awards.
Ariel has worked with many brands from various industries, including: Nivea, SK-II, Spring and Summer, Neutrogena, GSK, SC Johnson, Nestle, CHANDO, Pt, Yakult, VIVO, Oral-B, Bayer, Gillette, Colgate, Savlon, Nissan, 3M, Nike, Crest, Uni-President, Tiffany & Co., Pizza Hut, Darlie, Braun, Sony, BenQ, Baileys, etc. In addition to serving major brands, she enjoys spending her spare time to writing and ilooks forward to publishing her own books.
