TOKYO, JAPAN – Asia’s independent creative agency, UltraSuperNew, have made a host of new hires to bolster their team in Tokyo.

At a time when the industry is facing many challenges, when difficult decisions are being made, and the world is in a state of flux, the independent creative hot shop holds confidence the industry is bouncing back and will be prepared for the myriad challenges the new normal will bring, including continuing to support their clients with rapid digitization.

This means investing in, and adding extra resources and talent, to the creative department and account teams. They will be working with Uber Eats (with Special Group), Beats by Dre, Lululemon, Mitsubishi FUSO, Tabasco and a project for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics for the Japanese and pan-Asia region.

Co-founder Tomo Murakami commented, “These are difficult days, but UltraSuperNew are looking forward. We have worked hard to win new business and retain current clients, and are pleased to be able to hire new people, create jobs, and get some brilliant work done!”

The creative department is bolstered with the arrival of two senior creative directors and one senior copywriter.

Creative directors Cesar Augusto and Yousuke Ozawa are both graduates of the infamous Miami Ad School. Cesar joins from Virtue in Berlin, VICE Media’s in-house agency, where he ran the Art and creative department as CD, and Ozawa previously was the CD at Havas Tokyo. Trilingual copywriter Nobuaki Nogamoto joins from Foton VFX.

Augusto said: “UltraSuperNew has a desire to push the boundaries of creativity, to think bold and be unique. I also happen to think the same, and I can’t wait to show our clients what we can do. Being a nimble independent agency, this gives us more freedom to do so.”

Ozawa added: “I wanted to work at UltraSuperNew for a while now, as they have a reputation of doing great work that drives results through unconventional and energetic thinking. I’m pleased to finally be here and am excited to be on this journey with them and our brilliant clients.”

A wealth of prestigious creative awards have been won between the new creative hires including ADC, Graphics, Clio, Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Webby, Spikes, Effie and New York Festivals.

Account Manager Asumi Yamayoshi, and Junior Account Manager Allison Lee, join the Account Management department.
