SINGAPORE – Global brand experience agency VMLY&R, today announced the appointment of Guy Futcher – the creative mind behind award-winning campaigns including TAB’s “Long May We Play” and Tourism Australia’s enduringly successful “There’s nothing like Australia” – as Executive Creative Director, VMLY&R Singapore.
Guy’s mandate will be to bring to life VMLY&R’s mission to create connected brands for the agency’s client partners in Singapore; working closely with capable leaders across VMLY&R’s key pillars and focusing on commerce, data and insights, to build creative solutions that will impact the company’s bottom line and business growth. He will also be working closely with VMLY&R Asia’s Chief Creative Officer, Valerie Madon, to develop a culture of effective creativity within the teams in Singapore.

A creative industry heavyweight in his native Australia, Guy joins VMLY&R Singapore with more than fifteen years of experience in the industry, winning and running multiple successful campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands, including McDonald’s, TAB, Samsung, Netflix, Unilever, Volkswagen, Optus, eBay, Kellogg’s and WWF. Notable campaigns include Netflix Originals’ TVCs that launched the platform in Singapore, Philippines and Thailand, and ATMs that listen, a campaign that gave Australia’s biggest bank its first ever data lion.
Prior to joining VMLY&R, Guy was Creative Director at M&C Saatchi Sydney. He has also served as Creative Director at Leo Burnett Sydney, and Head of Copy at DDB Sydney.
