FRANKFURT, GERMANY — Creative agency Leo Burnett, part of the Publicis network, has won the creative budget of private banking company Commerzbank. From January 2023 onwards, the Frankfurt agency will take care of Commerzbank’s advertising communication as lead agency. The decision was preceded by a multi-stage selection process in which the Publicis Groupe Germany team prevailed against renowned competitors.

“Commerzbank is the bank for people and companies in Germany who are looking for a reliable partner at their side in a changing world. Together with our clients, we continue to develop new perspectives even in challenging times,” said Commerzbank AG Head of Brand & Research Katrin Menne. “The strategic and creative competence, but above all the great commitment of the team, convinced us. The Leo Burnett agency and Publicis Groupe have proven to us that they understand our industry and our clients very well and are sensitive to the real market conditions of our time.”

Publicis Groupe CEO Christian Rätsch shared, “We are very proud to be able to hold our own in the competition. We live in a time in which banks have a great social responsibility. Therefore, we are happy to give the brand a strong creative voice with the Commerzbank team.”
