SINGAPORE — Redhill, one of the fastest-growing full-service global communications agencies, unveiled its new global headquarters in Singapore’s historic district of Tanjong Pagar. Over 200 dignitaries, clients and guests attended the grand launch, including Shawn Huang, a member of Parliament (Jurong GRC) and the director (Enterprise Development) at Temasek International Pte Ltd, who was the event’s guest of honor.
“Redhill is a shining example of the type of business that we hope to nurture in Singapore – one that is proudly locally founded but strives towards global ambitions. With its business firmly anchored in Singapore, Redhill has relentlessly pursued its mission to tell stories to audiences across the world, yet it has never lost sight of its intrinsic Asian and Singaporean identity,” said Shawn Huang, Member of Parliament (Jurong GRC), during his opening address.
The new 5,000 square feet headquarters can accommodate up to 150 employees and is designed for “hot desking,” underscoring Redhill’s progressive attitude towards flexible work arrangements. Open plan seating and versatile discussion spaces in the primary work zone facilitate fluid collaboration and cooperation, while meeting rooms and quiet zones enable team discussions and focused work. Meanwhile, comfortable lounges and a spacious pantry area provide spaces for people to gather and recharge, helping to foster a sense of community while preserving individual wellbeing.
As Redhill’s largest office premises to date, the new global headquarters reflects the agency’s rapid growth over the eight years since its inception. It has twice been named one of Singapore’s Fastest Growing Companies by Statista and The Straits Times (2022 and 2021), and Financial Times’ top 500 Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies (2022 and 2021). This homegrown communications agency opened its first office in Singapore in 2014 with just two employees. Fast forward today, Redhill is home to over 180 employees globally. Today, more than half of its employees are based in Singapore — making it one of the country’s largest homegrown public relations agencies.
Beyond Singapore, Redhill has established a footprint in 19 markets, including the US, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and most of Southeast Asia. In early 2022, it also acquired leading Hong Kong communications agency, the Creative Consulting Group (CCG) — its first acquisition — and established its creative division, Redhill Studios, which offers design, website, and video services.
To cater for its diverse workforce, Redhill has implemented initiatives promoting employee wellbeing and welfare, as well as encouraging upskilling and career growth. These include hosting mental health discussions and trainings, organizing leadership talks and skill workshops, and building an accessible depository for training resources.
In 2021, Redhill launched its first diversity and inclusion initiative, which involved an overhaul of its salary structure to focus on pay parity based on skill and experience instead of an individual’s last drawn salary. These efforts led to the agency’s inclusion in the Adland Diversity and Inclusion Index 2021. That same year, Redhill also unveiled its sustainability-driven Greenhill initiative, which began with implementing sustainable practices in the office and evolved into a full Sustainability vertical with the appointment of Marta Bigio as Senior Director of Sustainability and the acquisition of VS Story, a storytelling company specializing in environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes in 2022.
“We are extremely happy to relocate to our new global headquarters. This move represents another significant milestone for our fast-growing communications business. This new space better accommodates our rapidly growing team and enables us to hire additional talent to service our growing client base and to provide industry-leading support. Our new office was designed to inspire collaboration, innovation, and team spirit– acting as our base of operations as we further our mission to tell authentic stories across the world. We look forward to continuing the next chapter for Redhill within this space,” said Jacob Puthenparambil, Founder and CEO of Redhill.
