MANILA, PHILIPPINES — With new trends emerging and new markets on the rise, the Philippines continues to strengthen its presence in the growing Southeast Asian startup ecosystem. As the world continues to transition into a post-pandemic period, and ushers in more changes to the “new normal,” Techshake, dentsu X Philippines, and Brainsparks are excited to again hold and organize IGNITE as one of the largest hybrid international innovation conferences in the Philippines.
IGNITE 2022 FUSION is a five-day hybrid conference from October 10 to October 14 at Fairmont/Raffles Hotel in Makati City. Organized by Techshake, dentsu X Philippines, and Brainsparks, IGNITE strives to connect the innovation ecosystem of the Philippines to the rest of the world.
This year’s theme centers around how Innovation can drive Sustainability and Resilience, a subject relevant to both long-established corporations and startups alike, given the realities of climate change and Covid-19. Participants can look forward to an exciting and enriching program of activities. These include workshops, panel discussions, speaker sessions with well-known speakers from across the globe, and pitch events featuring the top startups in the region.
The conference will kick off with the Shell LiveWIRE Accelerator program where the Top Three Startups of the program – Bambuhay, Pieza PH, and Suds Sustainable Pods – will pitch to select a grand prize winner. The second day will feature workshop sessions in collaboration with 917 Ventures and Xendit. The third day will feature startup pitches in partnership with Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The fourth day will feature speaker sessions by Mynavi. Last, on the final day of the conference, the WILDFIRE Pitch Competition will be held. The winner of WILDFIRE will represent the Philippines at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale 2023 in Silicon Valley and have the chance to win $ 1,000,000.
