SINGAPORE – WaWa Pictures, Shining Entertainment Investment, Clover Films, Artistes Marketing Asia and AC Music Entertainment, producers of the upcoming local quirky comedy WHEN GHOST MEETS ZOMBIE《女鬼爱上尸》, are pleased to announce that Singapore’s first ghost-zombie romance comedy will hit the cinemas on Valentine’s Day next year!
Starring an ensemble of well-known local artistes including singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono 向洋, Ferlyn G 黄晶玲, Jesseca Liu 刘子绚, Jeremy Chan 田铭耀, Fann Wong 范文芳, Gurmit Singh, Andie Chen 陈邦鋆, Kate Pang 庞蕾馨, Jack Neo 粱志强, Suhaimi Yusof, Constance Song 宋怡霏, Dennis Chew 周崇庆, Shaun Chen 陈泓宇, Yvonne Lim 林湘萍, Zheng Ge Ping 郑各评, Lee Teng 李腾, Chen Tianwen 陈天文, etc, the trailer and poster make their official debut today!
Both the trailer and poster showcase Nathan’s goofy zombie look for the first time in his feature film debut. Fans will also be able to catch glimpses of his well-toned six-pack abs and some of his zombie-like dance moves in the two-minute trailer! Meanwhile, Ferlyn G showcases her fantastic dance skills! In conjunction with the movie release, Warner Music Singapore will be releasing “WHEN GHOST MEETS ZOMBIE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK)”, the official musical companion to the film. It is set to feature original compositions and performances by Nathan Hartono – including a soaring ballad featuring female lead Ferlyn G – and a brand new track from Ferlyn herself, among others. The eagerly-anticipated soundtrack will be available for iTunes pre-order on January 18th and arrive at all digital platforms on February 15th, 2019.
Helmed by local director Han Yew Kwang 韩耀光 (RUBBERS, 18 GRAMS OF LOVE), WHEN GHOST MEETS ZOMBIE is WaWa Pictures, the established TV powerhouse, first feature project.
The movie tells the story of Pong (Nathan),who turns into a zombie when saving his town from a disaster. He led a mechanical and aimless life until a female ghost named Zhen Zhen (Ferlyn) came into his life. Zhen Zhen, whose pet phrase is “If you have no dreams, you are no different from a walking zombie.” believes one should live life to its fullest. Hilarious drama unfolds when Zhen Zhen possesses Pong to fulfil her pageant dreams and forces him to join a “Mr Perfect” competition.
