BOLTON, UK — Leading sock and hosiery group SOCKSHOP is delighted to announce its first 100% recycled socks with new brand, TORE.
TORE (totally recycled) was created out of frustration towards the industry and the brand’s core philosophies to protect and nurture the environment. With this in mind, SOCKSHOP created TORE – the world’s first 100% recycled sock that tackles textile wastage and water consumption. Produced by SOCKSHOP, using over 25 years of experience in sock manufacturing, TORE is not only eco-friendly but also provides unparalleled quality, comfort, durability, fit, and hypoallergenic properties.
The TORE range was created with the aim of making small changes to create a better world, through reducing water consumption and minimising waste accumulation one step at a time. TORE socks are RCS100 certified (no greenwashing!) and one pack of TORE socks saves:
● 2 years of drinking water
● 2.4 plastic water bottles diverted from landfills
● 0.6 t-shirts diverted from landfills
Commenting on the new launch, Amit Ruia, Managing Director of SOCKSHOP, says, “We are thrilled to be launching our first totally sustainable, totally recycled sock; TORE. When we started our sock company 25 years ago, one of our core philosophies was to protect and nurture the environment and we hope TORE embodies this movement. Every single element of our TORE socks are made from recycled fibers, including recycled cotton and polyester from discarded water bottles. We hope to make small changes to create a better world, sock at a time!”
