THE PHILIPPINES, JUNE 4, 2012: DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, ABS-CBN Corporation’s AM radio station, has received Reader’s Digest Gold “Trusted Brand” Award in a ceremony last May 31.
The most widely circulated magazine in the world began handing out the Trusted Brand Awards 14 years ago, in recognition of brands and services that have become the benchmark for product excellence and customer service, all based on an annual consumer survey.
ABS-CBN Manila Radio Division head Peter Musngi said that the Trusted Brand Award is a shared recognition among the DZMM radio anchors, production staff, and the listeners.
“The first time is always the sweetest and this is the first time we’ve been awarded a ‘trusted brand’ award by the internationally-renowned Reader’s Digest… This award represents the very essence of what we stand for – a radio station that rates and ranks at the top consistently because people listen; and the reason they listen is because they trust the station, its anchors and staff behind the microphone and camera,” said Musngi.
DZMM was among the 40 Asian companies that received the Trusted Brand Award. Previous recipients include Honda and Toyota (Automobile Related); Panasonic, Samsung, and LG (Consumer Electronics); McDonald’s (Services and Retail); and Knorr and Maggi (Food and Beverage).
