MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Visa is committed to driving digital and financial inclusion in the Philippines. On February 5, 2025, Visa’s leadership team, including Stephen Karpin, Regional President of Visa Asia Pacific; Arturo Planell, Group Country Manager for Southeast Asia; and Jeffrey Navarro, Country Manager of Visa Philippines, met with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and officials of the Regional Operations and Advocacy Sector and Payments and Currency Management Sector.

The representatives discussed enhancing financial access for all Filipinos through the promotion of financial inclusion and education. Additionally, they explored strategies to enhance consumer protection by preventing payment fraud, leveraging Visa’s expertise.
