MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Content creator and artist Sophy has officially signed with NYMA Talent Management, further strengthening the agency’s diverse roster of creators and influencers. She joins a powerhouse lineup that includes singer and actor Christian Bautista, food content creator and James Beard nominee Abi Marquez, actress and global creator Kristel Fulgar, beauty content creator Adelina Eugenio, cycling advocate and storyteller Buji Babiera, and multipurpose artist Raco Ruiz.
Sophy, who began as a DOTA fan, ventured into content creation in 2020 and has since expanded her work into presenting, hosting, casting, and collaborating with esports organizations. Her career highlights include hosting the 2023 DPC Southeast Asian Winter Tour, marking her presence in the regional esports landscape.
Her streams feature an eclectic mix of titles across genres—from action-adventure epics like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring to community favorites like Genshin Impact, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and indie gems such as Celeste. This variety allows her audience to experience the vast spectrum of the gaming industry.
Beyond gaming, Sophy is also an artist. She explores painting, crocheting, sticker design, and Lego building, balancing digital entertainment with hands-on creativity. With a following of over 220,000 fans, she continues to grow as a rising figure in gaming and streaming.
Her signing comes at a pivotal time. According to Niko Partners, Southeast Asia’s gaming market is projected to reach 332 million gamers and generate USD 7 billion in revenue by 2028. As this growth accelerates, creators like Sophy are poised to play an essential role in shaping the space.
NYMA Chief Operating Officer Kat Bautista shared her excitement about the team’s new talent. “The Southeast Asian gaming space is continuing to grow, with mobile games expected to bring in the revenues. It’s the perfect time to bring someone like Sophy into NYMA. She brings a thoughtful and positive energy to the gaming scene, she understands the landscape and the fans, and with her, we can expand NYMA’s work in gaming.”
“I’ve seen the Southeast Asian gaming space grow over the years, and I’m excited to be working with NYMA to see what we can do in the region and beyond it,” shared Sophy. “I’m looking forward to working with creators and esports professionals and seeing how we can make this a space where more Filipina gamers would thrive.”
