Starcom MediaVest Group boosts trading branded content and activation capabilities with two new hires

MANILA, FEBRUARY 4, 2013 – Starcom MediaVest Group is welcoming two new hires, expected to boost the agency’s trading branded content and activation capabilities in the Philippines. Onel Querijero is joining SMG as trading director, while Meg Arcilla has been appointed as LiquidThread director.  

Querijero moves on from his role as general manager at Maxus Philippines. He has almost two decades of industry experience, spending time at Mindshare Philippines as media director and working with a broad range of brands like Shell, SC Johnson, Kimberly Clark, GSK, Nissan, The Bel Group, Ferrero Rocher, Sharp and Bvlgari among others. 
 
As trading director at SMG, Querijero will oversee trading agreements and negotiations with media owners and vendors across all media platforms in the Philippines.  He will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining deep business relationships with SMG’s media partners and internal teams to optimize SMG clients’ media investments.
 
Arcilla joins SMG fro from GroupM Philippines where she had been the activations director since 2008, in charge of overseeing all GroupM-initiated ground activations for clients. With over 10 years of experience in activations and events planning, she had also spent time at SM Supermalls as marketing manager for special events, and at Dentsu Philippines and Nickelodeon Philippines among others.
 
As LiquidThread Director, Arcilla will bring her wealth of experience in activations to campaigns and plans, developed with SMG’s Experience Planning framework, for clients’ plans and campaigns. She will also manage and develop best practices for content and activation for LiquidThread, SMG’s content division.
