ASIA-PACIFIC – At long last, the ADFEST 2010 jury members are now in Tokyo for the judging session which ends on July 24, 2010. With the support of the Japan Advertising Federation (JAF), the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival judging is pushing through in the city, incidentally the one with the most entries. ADFEST was originally scheduled for March in Bangkok but was marred by the political unrest in the Thai capital. It was moved to Tokyo in May before being postponed a second time.
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends in Japan. JAF has worked tirelessly, day and night, to help us reschedule this year’s Judging Session in Tokyo. As a result of their hard work, I have no doubt this will be one of the most memorable Judging Sessions in the history of ADFEST!” says ADFEST President Jimmy Lam.
Merlee Jayme of DM9 JaymeSyfu and Melvin Mangada of TBWASantiago Mangada Puno are among the 50 jurors determining the Lotus Award winners.
JAF will host a Welcome Dinner on July 20 and a Thank You Party on July 22, both sponsored by Kirin Brewery. Results will be released on Monday, July 26.
