Joe Dy returns to JWT Manila as creative director and head of copy

THE PHILIPPINES, APRIL 4, 2012: There’s a familiar face in JWT Manila. Joe Dy marks his homecoming in the agency as he comes in as creative director and head of copy. He first joined the agency in 2005 as associate creative director after a stint at Leo Burnett.

Before Dy’s comeback, he was also creative director and head of copy at BBDO Guerrero since 2010. "Working with David Guerrero and his crew was definitely a blast, and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities they gave me. I particularly enjoyed getting a crack at brands like FedEx and J&J, as well as brainstorming with some kick-ass creatives," says Dy.

Commenting on Dy’s return, Dave Ferrer, JWT Manila’s executive creative director said: “Joe Dy has always been one of the stellar talents at JWT Manila. His work has been recognized not only in local awards but also at Cannes, Adfest, and Media Spikes. His return to JWT Manila really beefs up our creative product."
“It’s great to be back. Working with Dave Ferrer and rest of the JWT crew is always a privilege, and I’m stoked about the new challenges they have for me,” said Dy.
“I’m also excited to be joining JWT’s new Internationalista community. The philosophy, which fosters intensive collaboration with the entire global network to create true, world-made ideas feels especially relevant in an environment where technology has rendered physical borders virtually nonexistent. It offers a unique chance to encounter different cultures and different people with varying working styles, while generating work that really travels in the process.”
