PANATA Awards 2010 champions Filipino values in advertising

PHILIPPINES – The PANATA Awards, which recognizes outstanding marketing communication materials or campaigns that promote positive Filipino values of PANA-member companies, is now on its second year.

 
Last year’s awards were dominated by PLDT/SMART’s “Ako Mismo”, which won the only Gold and three Silver awards. 
 
Entries for Brand/Product, communications promoting the brand and its intrinsic benefits, Cause Marketing, communications directed to a particular cause, will be accepted for the first time this year. The categories are TV/Cinema, Radio, Print, Ambient/OOH, Direct Mail, Digital, Sales Promotions, Publicity/PR and Special Events.
 
The PANATA Awards champions traditional Filipino values expressed in marketing or advertising communications, including love of family, respect for elders, prayerful, philanthropy or generosity, volunteerism, hardworking or industriousness, prudence, love of country or heroism, adaptability, flexibility or resilience, humility, obedience, honesty/integrity, loyalty and reliability.  
 
Original materials produced and aired or printed in any form of mass media from November 2009 to October 2010 are eligible for entry. Deadline for submission is on November 5, 2010.  The awards night will be in January 2011.
