Tucked in a quiet corner of Legaspi Village is a bistro and showroom for premium and ultra-premium wines, primarily from California, called The Wine Club. Its small cozy space feels like a wine cellar with walls decked with an imposing array of red, white and rosé. The place is cool, mostly quiet, and regulars aren’t exactly wine connoisseurs but they do know good wine and know where to get it.
To complement its outstanding portfolio of wines, The Wine Club also serves rustic Italian fare and occasionally hosts wine dinners where they showcase particular wines curated by guest oenologist paired with special dishes prepared by Chef Edwin Balitao. In the middle of the week, they also offer live bossa nova music to soothe your soul while you indulge your palate. It has consistently received rave reviews from those who were lucky enough to hear of it.
This hidden gem is in the ground floor of Cacho-Gonzales Building, 101 Aguirre corner Trasierra Sts., Legaspi Village, Makati City, behind the Asian Institute of Management.
