HONG KONG — A surprise weekend event was presented by KMB and Hong Kong Disneyland on July 24 & 25, 2021. A special bus named the 15XP (Express) maneuvered its way through a fleet of daily buses, to pay tribute to Hong Kong Disneyland’s 15th-anniversary celebration. Lucky passengers were treated to a complimentary ride and admission to the park to see the all-new live outdoor musical party – “Follow Your Dreams,” staged at the Castle of Magical Dreams.

Disney fans and curious passengers discovered the 15XP bus stop early in the morning and began queueing hours in advance before its scheduled departure for the park. Lucky passengers who successfully answered a simple question provided by staff at the bus stop could have a chance to board the magic bus, bringing them directly to Hong Kong Disneyland.
“We wanted residents in Hong Kong to share in the joy of our new ‘Follow Your Dreams’ castle show, and to celebrate our 15th anniversary,” said Patrick Tom, director, creative of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. “But we also wanted to surprise them with something they never expected, that’s where our magic bus comes in,” he added.
The magic bus stop locations were never revealed, however, clues were provided on Hong Kong Disneyland’s Instagram, so that fans could search for them. “Disney is famous for easter eggs, so planting the bus stops for people to find in different locations made their discoveries that much more magical,” Tom said.
Ultimately, lucky passengers discovered and boarded the 15XP Magic Bus at the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Bus Terminus and the Mong Kok MTR bus terminus. Seating was limited and on a first-come-first-served basis after answering a simple question. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse warmly greeted the lucky passengers at the resort when they got off the bus.
A few celebrities and key influencers, including Eman Lam and Vincci Cheuk Wan-chi, took part in this magical journey to Hong Kong Disneyland, while other influencers also shared the surprise experience on their social channels.
