Brand & Business: Smart supports Bantayan Island via tourism billboards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — PLDT Inc. wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. has supported the Municipality of Bantayan’s installation of 25 tourism billboards around the Bantayan Public Plaza showcasing the various cultures, livelihood, and tourist destinations found in the municipality’s barangays. This project, along with the two Smart cell sites that will soon rise in Brgy. Obo-ob and Brgy Sillon, will help strengthen the local government’s efforts to make Bantayan Island a notable ecotourism and wellness destination. 

An unveiling ceremony was held during the municipality’s Bantayan Day celebration attended by its local government officials headed by Hon. Mayor Arthur E. Despi, and representatives from Smart led by Marylou Gocotano, Manager of Smart Group Corporate Communications-Visayas.
