MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, achieves 85% booster vaccination rate for its active flying crew, inspiring confidence and safety given the expected uptick in travel demand, especially as summer approaches.

This is part of the airline’s commitment to ensure every Juan’s safety, while flying with CEB, both for passengers and crew alike.

CEB’s entire workforce is now 81% boosted. This feat has been attained through joint efforts of the CEB/JG Covid Protect Vaccination Program, along with various partnerships with LGUs in the country.

“We are very happy to share this win with every Juan as we all see travel opening up again, not only within the Philippines, but even to some international destinations. We want to keep doing what we can to make sure our passengers fly with peace of mind on CEB,” said Felix Lopez, Vice President for People Department at Cebu Pacific.

The COVID Protect program is part of the Gokongwei Group’s initiative for all its business units. Through this, CEB employees received free inoculation for themselves and their dependents, as well as third- party workers, such as check-in agents and bag handlers.

Apart from this conglomerate-led program, CEB also worked hand-in-hand with various local government units these past months to ensure its employees will be inoculated with whatever vaccine is available, at the earliest time possible.

The airline has also been actively transporting vaccines across the country since March 2021. To date, the airline has safely airlifted over 50 million vaccine doses across 28 domestic destinations.

CEB has achieved a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety as it endeavors to restore the public’s trust and confidence in air travel.

CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 33 destinations, on top of its 14 international destinations. Its 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters.
