PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 13, 2010 – Adobo Magazine hosts one of the country’s rare night runs in the country with Adobo Run: After Dark. The run is open to all and aims to promote community, health, fun, and all for the benefit of Formula Juan.
Formula Juan is a project to raise funds for LPG-run public jeepneys. Jeepneys are the most common mode of transportation throughout the Philippines and normally run on diesel, which is responsible for 70% of carbon emissions in Metro Manila’s pollution. LPGs are the “greener” and cheaper alternative with less particle emission and 60% less carbon monoxide. Changing a jeepney’s diesel engine to an LPG is huge help in the campaign to clear our air.
Adobo Run: After Dark will be held on October 30, 2010. The 3k, 5k, and 10k routes around the McKinley Hill area are designed for both first-time and experienced runners. Live music and drinks await finishers. Also in line with the Halloween weekend, there will also be a special category for those who run in costume, and for the biggest contingent.
Registration fee is at Php600 per person, while companies and running groups get special group package of one free register for every 10 paid registrants.
Interested participants can download the registration form and find a map of the run at http://www.adobomagazine.com/adoborun/. You can also register at R.O.X Second Wind at Bonifacio High Street, the Second Wind Store in Ortigas, The Brick in McKinley Hill, Mizuno outlets in Megamall and Trinoma, and the adobo magazine office on Pasong Tamo extension.
