LONDON, UK — UK-based marketing effectiveness authority WARC launched the 2020 WARC Media Awards, a global awards scheme that rewards communications planning with a positive impact on business.
Now in its fifth year, the competition will examine “the insight, strategy, and analytics that power effective media investment.”
There are four categories — Effective Channel Integration, Effective Use of Tech, Best Use of Data, and Effective Use of Partnerships & Sponsorships — each with their own individual judging panels, and a set of Special Awards.
The chairs of the judging panels are Vasileios Kourakis of L’Oréal, Dara Treseder of Carbon, Mark Evans of Direct Line Group and Nick Ashley of Tesco.
The WARC Media Awards are free to enter and are discipline-neutral and channel-agnostic. Papers are submitted as effectiveness case studies and can be entered by media agencies, creative agencies, media owners, digital agencies, and data specialists from all over the world. The deadline for entries is Sep. 23, 2020.
Judges for the WARC Prize for Asian Strategy 2020, which have awarded the best strategic ideas from Asia’s marketing industry since 2011, have also been announced. The Prize remains free to enter and is open to clients and agencies in any marketing discipline. The deadline for entries is July 14, 2020.
