Bates 141 wins big at regional activation awards, PMAA

ASIA-PACIFIC – AUGUST 9, 2011 – Bates has come up trumps at the 2011 Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia, “The Dragons of Asia”, winning two Golds, two Silvers and the prestigious Best in Country award. 
 
The campaigns are now being adjudicated by the MAA GLOBES International Judging Panel, against the Best of the Best in Promotion Marketing from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, UK and the USA. The MAA Globes is the industry’s leading international recognition benchmark for the world’s most outstanding marketing campaigns.
 
Bates Vietnam was awarded “Best in Vietnam” for the second year running, in addition to winning one Gold, one Silver and an Order of Merit for its campaign for Heineken, “Creating a national phenomenon in Vietnam.” 
 
This year’s win makes it the first time an agency from Vietnam has won a Gold Dragon for two years in a row. Last year, Bates was the first agency from Vietnam to win a Gold Dragon and a Gold MAA Globe.
 
 

 
 
Bates India on the other hand, won a Gold, a Silver and an Order of Merit, for its multi-award winning campaign for Virgin Mobile – “Indian Panga League”. This latest win adds to a list of prestigious creative and effectiveness awards including the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair, Effies, Spikes Asia and the Digital Media Awards.
 
 

 
In the Philippines, Bates was awarded an Order of Merit for its campaign for HSBC Red Mastercard, "If the shoe fits", in the “Best Activity Generating Short or Long Term Brand Loyalty” category. Bates was one of the three Philippine agencies recognized at the PMAA.
