BBDO/Proximity Malaysia’s Executive Creative Director Mun Tuck Wai has requested to leave his current position because he wants to gain international work experience. According to Advertising + Marketing Daily Malaysia, the agency is currently looking at deploying Mun within their global network.
"We are taking Mun’s request seriously when he said he wanted overseas experience. We believe in advancing our talents’ best interest and we’re still looking for the best possible options for Mun," Jennifer Chan, group chief executive of BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, said.
The agency is now finalizing the hiring of a new creative leader to succeed Mun. Mun himself was promoted to his current position last September 2009 when Ronald Ng was relocated to New York as executive vice-president and ECD at BBDO New York.
In the 2009 Big Won Report, Mun was named the top worldwide art director and the second best international Creative Director in the world. One of his greatest achievements in his current stint is developing the ‘Two Worlds’ campaign for Jeep.
