ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, NOVEMBER 2010 – BBH Asia Pacific is bringing the world’s leading digital university, Hyper Island, to Singapore to conduct an intensive three-day Master Class on digital and interactive for the agency. Along with BBH, Hyper Island co-host a ‘Meet Market’ workshop – The Importance of Social Media in today’s Communication world – to be attended by a cross-section of BBH Clients and collaborators – representing Singapore’s creative community. A team of four speakers, including Co-Founder Jonathan Briggs, will run the Singapore workshops.
BBH has a longstanding relationship with Hyper Island, having hosted four Master Classes and ‘Meet Market’ sessions at its’ London and New York offices.
Founded in Sweden in 1995 and based in a former naval prison in the small town of Karlskrona, Hyper Island has been dubbed the ‘the world’s digital Harvard’ and has now established offices in Stockholm, New York and London, trained over 1500 graduates, and developed tailor-made master classes for creative professionals across Europe and the US. It has been noted for its unconventional teaching methods–no course materials or formal curriculum is used. Its courses focus on areas that include exploring the digital landscape, creative problem solving, group dynamic processes and the use of interactive media.
