It has been some time since the citizen video of the crotch-hitting girlfriend hit 53,181 views the same day it was posted on user-driven site Stomp in August 2009, but Publicis Singapore has a reason to resurrect it. Its spoof video dramatizes the situation as an instance one should not chicken out of.
In the Burger King video, the guy does not just simply stand around without a fight. With the intervention of a fierce-looking chicken mascot, the boyfriend retaliates by breaking his girlfriend’s heel. Funny and potentially offensive, the video may not get as many reactions. "Never Chicken Out" may be extreme. Let’s hope this does not encourage the misogynists.
