DDB Group Philippines CFO Judd Balayan, managing director & COO Timmy J. Jayme, CMO Roy R. Santiago and group president & CEO Gil G. Chua
PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 3, 2010 – DDB Group President and Chief Executive Officer Gil G. Chua has announced its new executive appointments. Roy R. Santiago will be the first Chief Marketing Officer for the DDB Group–which includes DDB Philippines, Touch DDB, Tribal DDB, DDB PR and RAPP Group–effective January 1, 2011.
Santiago, who has been with DDB for 12 years, will continue to lead the continuous evolution of the agency’s highly-acclaimed strategic social creativity positioning, as the agency reinforces its thrust to provide multi-disciplinary and integrated creative business solutions for clients.
Timmy J. Jayme, the husband of DM9 JaymeSyfu Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Merlee Jayme, assumes the role of managing director and chief operations officer for DDB Philippines. He began his accounts service career with Ace Saatchi & Saatchi working with brands such as Nestlé and San Miguel Corporation, before moving to McCann Erickson handling one of the agency’s most important brands, La Tondeña. He joined Kodak Philippines Ltd where he was promoted to different marketing positions in the consumer imaging division, both in local and regional levels. He has also worked with American Standard Philippines as marketing manager. He pursued executive education finishing the Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management.
According to Chua, these new appointments are aligned with the DDB network’s positioning shift announced earlier this year at the DDB Worldwide Management Conference held in Vancouver, Canada. The DDB Group is taking its integrated marketing experience to a new level by consolidating its multi-discipline resources in support of the network’s Social Creativity positioning.
“It is the management’s intention that Roy focuses and succeeds in making the vision of a seamless organization real for the local Group. He will also provide marketing leadership and facilitate the quick coordination necessary for increased collaborative work and engagement with existing clients and prospects. Timmy will work hand-in-hand with Roy in the delivery of these services,” Chua furthered.
