DDB Philippines leads Advertising winners of the 32nd Catholic Mass Media Awards

PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 14, 2010 – The 32nd Catholic Mass Media Awards, held Wednesday night at the University of Santo Tomas, honored print, TV, radio, cinema, Internet and advertising promoting Christian values.

DDB Philippines led the winners in the Advertising category, with Best Public Service Print Ad, Best Public Service TV Ad and Best Website, all for PLDT-Smart Foundation’s Ako Mismo. The agency also merited the Best Public Service Radio Ad  for "Mumble" for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. DDB Philippines also received a Special Citation for its "Tapak" outdoor ad for the Women’s Crisis Center.

Best Branded Print Ad was awarded to Campaigns and Grey’s "Green Choice (Whale Shark)" for CEMEX. Best Branded TV Ad went to McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ "Bayanihan" for United Laboratories. Publicis JimenezBasic received a Special Citation in the same category for “Senti” for Fresh & Famous.

ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management’s "Child Labor: Piko" for the network’s News and Current Affairs picked up the Best Branded Radio Ad award.

Letran swept the Student division with Best Public Service Radio Ad for "Tindera" and Best Public Service TV Ad for "Ita", as well as Special Citations for Public Service Radio Ad for "Star Parent", Public Service TV Ad for “Textmate/Praymate” and Public Service Print Ad for “Chopstick”.

Lyceum of the Philippines was awarded Best Student Public Service Print Ad for “Hourglass” and “The Pen”. The university also received a Special Citation for Public Service Print Ad for “Broken Picture”.
