GLOBAL, DECEMBER 2010 – Artists can now turn their small steps into giant leaps towards the art world. Red Lemon Club Ltd launches Lunarize for freelance and independent artists to showcase their work online, as get it out to the creative industry.
At a glance, a demo gallery on Lunarize looks like any ordinary online art catalog, with jpeg images of the artwork and artist contact information. That is only the beginning. The same prints are collated in digital and physical catalogs and sent to interested subscribers found on LinkedIn and on the site’s physical mailing list. Filipino creative Dan Matutina is the cover artist.
The galleries are divided into three categories: one for North America and European advertising and media, one gallery for newspaper and book publishers, and a gallery for European and American North American design firms. Each gallery has about 10,000 contacts, and premier contacts are added for an additional fee.
The artist is also advertised online through Red Lemon Club (http://www.redlemonclub.com/), and on The Creative Review, Twitter, and Facebook. The paid-form platform serves to be a little gallery of the artist’s own and a marketing campaign. If the platform does not work in six months, the artist gets his money back.
