IEC expands Asia Pacific office with new hires

ASIA-PACIFIC – HONG KONG, AUGUST 16, 2011 – IEC in Sports has strengthened its Sales and Operations team with the hiring of Andy Low and Irene Chua to join the IEC Asia Pacific Office in Hong Kong.
 
Low has over 12 years of experience from the TV Sports industry, including Singapore’s Starhub, ESPN Star, Singtel and Nimbus. He has been involved in the acquisition of major properties such as, the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Tennis Grand Slams, Golf Majors. Most recently, he handled media sales the Indian Premier League Cricket into Canada, U.K. and Malaysia.
 
Chua joins IEC from Eurovision and Mabohuay Satellite Services and has a strong technical background  in handling complex  transmissions from every Asian market. Irene was a key part of the broadcast services team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and past SEA Games.
 
“Andy and Irene brings a wealth of experience to IEC. He will play a key role in developing new products and revenue streams. Irene will boost our abilities to deliver an increasing number of live events successfully ,” said Karl Samuelsson, MD Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa for IEC in Sports.
 
Low will report to Scott Boyd, Sales Director Asia, Middle East and Africa, and Chua to Marco Gonzalez, Director Operations, Acquisitions and Business Development, Asia Pacific, both also based in Hong Kong.
