GLOBAL – AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, DECEMBER 2010 – SCAN Global Search Solutions has launched its new online search platform, SCAN Explorer (www.scanexplorer.com). The platform, designed to facilitate client connections to agencies and marketing services companies, is the first online database aimed exclusively at the multinational client business community.
Following two years of dedicated research and development, SCAN Explorer responds to the previous gap in the market with a database dedicated to multinational companies. The result is a search tool developed for global and regional requirements, across all major marketing disciplines, from advertising agencies through to brand consultants, PR companies, design firms, media agencies, production companies, and beyond.
Only complete company/agency profiles are permitted and SCAN Explorer requires both marketing service companies and clients pay to use the service. Older databases are funded by agency contributions alone, meaning clients are not invested in regular use of the service. This, in turn, leads agencies to lose interest and their profiles lack accuracy.
Participating clients will have access to in-depth agency data whilst participating agencies will not have access to all the information regarding competing marketing services companies. This unique element of the system encourages agencies to provide more detail, secure in the knowledge that it will be seen only by the client-side users of SCAN Explorer.
In addition to the search database, SCAN Explorer features a Portfolio Management System, allowing marketing and procurement clients to organize their current roster and locate the best multinational marketing resources for their brand, from around the world.
Hein Becht, Founder, CEO and Director of Scan Global Search Solutions, says: “Clients need databases, especially multinational clients, but they are only useful if they are up-to-date and user-friendly. At the same time, if marketing service companies feel that clients aren’t really invested in these databases, they have no incentive to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Through the research and development stage, we have worked together with clients and agencies in order to deliver a comprehensive and effective search tool that responds to these requirements.”
