Media Contacts HK hires Jason Kwong as general manager

ASIA-PACIFIC – HONG KONG, OCTOBER 5, 2010 – Havas Digital interactive agency Media Contacts has appointed Jason Kwong as general manager of its Hong Kong operations. He will report to Thomas Wong, CEO of Havas Media, Greater China. 

Kwong has been charged with the responsibility to grow Media Contacts HK aggressively. He will oversee the reinforcement and expansion of the digital capabilities of the agency with the aim to move beyond media to full service digital marketing agency over the next few months.

Commenting on his appointment Wong said: “Jason comes with extensive experience in full service digital offering with leading international creative and media agencies and he is the right  person to manage the aggressive growth of Media Contacts Hong Kong. I am confident that he will successfully transform MC HK into a full service digital agency to satisfy the growing need of our clients.”

Kwong, most recently the client services director at Landor Associates and prior to that head of interactive at OgilvyOne Worldwide, started his advertising career in 1996 with MTR  and has held senior roles at JWT and Euro RSCG. He  has worked with a wide range of clients including HSBC, Nokia, Nike, Sony and British Airways, among others.

His fourteen-year career has also seen him winning a series of awards at prestigious festivals like Spikes Asia and HK4A’s Interactive Awards.
